Bojo River

9:47 PM

It's Flashback Friday! Friends, what are you up to this weekend? Why not visit a place that pacify your eyes from the fussy daily grinds. C'mon, be fair to yourself. I know what you wanted, give in for an exotic adventure. For a cleaner and greener vision, I suggest you visit , Bojo River in Aloguinsan.

Bojo River, for me, is nothing special. Yes, since I always get to see this sight in postcards, travel magazines, wallpapers and even in NatGeo. Dreamy right? I'm certain what you imagined. But guess what, guys it exists for real! Five exclamation marks.  Just as I thought I wouldn't be able to see this for real. And this enchanted place lies in the south-western countryside, a three-hour ride from the city.

Upon entering the meek jungle, invisible life form’s melody and wind whispers serenaded us all in one playlist. As a visitor, I was dead-astounded by its spectacular nature, again, I was in all observation! Clean and mossy green, the way I describe this secluded biodiversity.

Simply, B.R.E.A.T.H.T.A.K.I.N.G.

During our Aloguinsan trip, we originally planned to drop first in Bojo River before Hidden beach. Not until these dispatchers revised our said itineraries. The nerve! We exclaimed in unison. The rest was history, we plunged first  then reserved our excitement for the river cruise. And reached there through local habal-habal drivers for only 20 peso ride per head ( Hidden to Bojo). We trailed noisily with much excitement and awe. Upon inquiring, to our surprise, the river cruise fee was costly as we less expected. 400 pesos?! per head???  Our impressive haggling skill were no work there. We were helpless but laughed at ourselves, like losers, haha. I remember, I even asked the staff if it was okay to swim until the we reached the riverbank, joke denied (har har har). Masyadong serious si ate. Guys, like you we were curious why that expensive, only we realized that it's for the complete benefit of the locals ( fishermen, who serve as guide,  and the people who managed the Ecotourism Association ) who, keep the Bojo river sustainable and clean. A major applause!

Back to the loser, I mean us, we took the opportunity to investigate its naked beauty. Our remark : everything about this genuine paradise is dreamy! We urged to return with sweet revenge. huh'

To the epic-fail cruise, these is our verdict : kit kit koko. ( nailbite, a gesture made after failing to fulfill the plans due to financial shortage haha ). So when planning an escape, be fully-armed! High touch.

The silver lining of this story is that we have good reason to look up to for another on-the-spot adventure, here, exclusively!  Perhaps, this time, we can cruise together. Wink and kisses.
